Feedback from Molly’s EMDR Clients

As a person who is very based in logic, I was a bit skeptical when Molly suggested EMDR. However, I trusted Molly and pushed ahead and couldn’t be happier. Although I’m still not certain how it works I can attest that it truly does! My most deeply ingrained issues are now concerns of the past all thanks to the faith I had in Molly’s treatment.

In short, EMDR has been life-transforming for me. When introduced to this method of therapy, I was skeptical and hesitant; it was much different than any other therapy I had experienced. I didn’t initially understand how it worked and didn’t know if it would be the right solution to my problems. However, Molly did an amazing job of explaining the process, the physical/psychological impacts and its proven effectiveness. Once I learned more, I was willing to try, and I am forever grateful I did. I have used EMDR for past traumas, current issues, future anxieties and specific thoughts or inner beliefs. To say that it has impacted my life is an understatement. It has desensitized me to trauma and unhealthy beliefs in a way that I am able to function much more wholly and present as a mother, wife, employee and friend. It has lessened a lifetime of anxiety in areas of my life I didn’t think could ever be healed or addressed. I have found the results so impactful, that I now ask to be led through EMDR around new areas. I would highly recommend this type of therapy, especially with Molly. Through every session she always ensures you are ready and able, remains calm and accepting of anything that arises, and monitors your progress closely. She is able to recognize the changes as you advance and lead in a way that is effective and reassuring. I cannot emphasize enough how much EMDR has helped me through my therapy journey and life as a whole.

I was feeling stuck in many aspects of my life.  I started noticing patterns of behaviors that I wasn’t happy with, but I kept telling myself that it was all just part of who I was.  I truly believed that it was just my personality and that I had to learn to live with it.

Once I began paying closer attention to some internal thoughts and feelings, I started feeling like I might have the ability to heal some of these things that were plaguing my life.

After many rounds of therapy with a few different therapists, I realized that I wasn’t seeing much change and was feeling discouraged.  After another big relationship event, I decided to try again and came across Molly’s practice.

I had not heard of EMDR, but I was willing to try something new.  EMDR has been so helpful for me, and I’ve seen very noticeable improvements in just 6 months of working with Molly.  It’s amazing how differently I feel and how differently I am able to respond to the triggers from my past.

EMDR has helped me to work through the problematic thoughts and events from my life so that I don’t have to continue carrying them around in my brain, unresolved.  I feel much lighter and capable of truly changing my thoughts, reactions, and responses to better serve me.

Therapy with Molly was helpful, not only was my perspective changing but my body was too. I was someone who felt tension in my shoulders all the time, for my whole life. Now that tension was going away. Working through things in therapy with Molly was a lifesaver, and it continues to be.

I started EMDR after my dad died from health complications. His death triggered health anxiety and the fear that I would have the same issues and not be there for my family. EMDR got to the root of my anxiety and helped me break through the uncontrollable feelings I would get during anxiety triggering events. When I finished EMDR, my mind was clearer and it felt like a weight off my shoulders. I no longer struggle with the debilitating symptoms of anxiety and I’m able to use my coping skills to push through negative thoughts and beliefs. It is a gift to be more present for my family, friends and career. I am truly grateful for the experience and Molly’s guidance through EMDR.

I am so thankful for Molly and therapy at Haven. I came to Haven full of worry, self-doubt and frustration. Feeling stuck and confused with the many changes that were happening in my life, I needed help processing all of my emotions and letting go of my anxieties.

Through processing, she was able to help guide me through my fears and stressors while teaching me techniques to bring peace to my situation. I was able to relax, look inward, and find strength and direction.

Everything about the whole process was calm and professional. I was even given techniques during my session that I could practice at home if worry or doubt started to return.
